Our story
Olas means a groove that brings directional stability to the base of a ski. The steadily growing construction company Olas Group was founded in 2017, when three almost-related men realized that there was a strong demand for high-quality detached homes in key areas of the Helsinki metropolitan region.
The purpose of the company is to build geothermal homes from northern wood in desirable locations. From the very beginning, it was clear that success in this mission requires a hardworking and creative team, reliable partners, and the ability to find plots of land where people want to live their everyday lives.
A geothermal home is nothing without its residents. Only when the moving boxes are carried through the front door does a house become a home. Northern wood and geothermal heat will serve families of all kinds for decades to come — protecting them from the elements, storing carbon, and witnessing the richness of life’s many paths.

Our homes are characterized by geothermal heating, the use of northern wood as a construction material, large windows, high ceilings, private yards, and the opportunity to personalize interior colors, surface materials, and fixed furnishings. In construction, we use strong northern conifer wood that grows in Finnish forests for 60 to 120 years before becoming part of an Olas home. For heating, we always choose geothermal energy — an ecological and energy-efficient solution that also brings savings for residents.
